Laura Evans Is Sexiest TV Newscaster - 4/7/2004 -
After sorting through hundreds and hundreds of e-mail "ballots" on 4/6, DCRTV has discovered the DC-Baltimore area's sexiest TV newscaster. And the overwhelming favorite is Channel 5's Laura Evans. She alone received 36 percent of the votes - four times (!) the number of votes that the 2nd place finishers received. DCRTV did its best to limit one vote per person, but there were rumblings that her win was part of an organized campaign. Here are the final results:

Allison Starling: She is a refreshing face in the morning and has natural beauty. I predict that she will be the next Katie Couric and will be hosting Good Morning America within 5 years.
I personally have the hots for Sue Palka on channel 5...and Linda Stouffer on Headline News...the gal with Chuck Roberts in the afternoons....I think that is her name.
In lieu of David Statter, I vote for Janet Fox, the 97-year-old WUSA morning reporter with the "unique" voice.
This may sound weird, but there is something very intriguing and a bit sexy about Wendy Rieger. She is a bit older and is a graduate of my school (American Univ.) but she does a great job and is fun to watch. Even Kathleen Matthews can deliver the news with authority and a bit of sex appeal. CAll me weird, but they catch my eye ... kinda like your best friend's mom. But if I had to cast a vote, it'd go to Jill Sorenson, the weekend sports anchor at NBC 4. She is dank!
Wendy Rieger ....a close second would have to be Tracey Neale.... that lip gloss is soooooooo sexy!

I think this is about the 15th year in a row that I would vote for Wendy Rieger, a pure vixen who is also a nice person. I know that sounds like something I should've written in her Junior High Year Book but, frankly, she's 2 Good 2 Be 4 Gotten. Laura Evans can tell me the news any day, all day. Plus, she would look adorable in a ballcap, tossing around a Frisbee with me at the park. Of course, my wife would have to play too...I guess. No question about it - Laura Evans. She is "super-model" hot! No one else is even close. Jill Sorenson and Wendy Reiger are beautiful too but Laura is in a universe of her own!

My choice would definitely have to be LAURA EVANS! Not only is she a beautiful woman, but I've met her in person and she's a star on the inside too. My husband grew up near her in CA and he says she is the most genuine person he's ever met. I heard she had a fabulous and very traditional family wedding too. That really makes a person a winner in my book - to be so gorgeous, such a hard worker and so into family traditions- hard to come by someone that great! I only wish she would do the news out here. DC is too lucky to have her!
No doubt in my mind- Laura Evans! We are moving from DC and sad that we won't have her as our anchor woman anymore! Can she move to WA?

can't believe that everyone has missed out on the stunning beauty of WUSA's JC Hayward's wigs. Goodness, my heart skips a beat each day at 5pm when I get to see which wig JC is sporting today. If JC's wigs are not sexy, I guess I don't know what sexy is. Also, the sexiest newscaster is Fox 5's Matt Ackland.

Laura Evans, no question about it. She oozes sex appeal but still manages to deliver the news with authority and poise. Second place vote goes to Jill Sorenson.

Yeah, I agree, Amy Morris at WTOP is definitely the sexiest woman on Washington radio. She makes it worth while to get up Saturday mornings with my mocha and bunny slippers. Channel 4's Wendy Rieger (formerly on WTOP and WAMU) is definitely the sexiest woman on D.C. television, and Wendy's newsroom-mate, Darcy Spencer (formerly WHAG-TV) has to rank in my book as also on the list. Its been cool watching her mature since getting to D.C. Oh, and if I can nominate a "sexy weather woman", I'd say its a tie between the lovely Sue Palka at Channel 5, and the equally lovely, and now-departed Alexandra Steele (formerly Channel 7, now at the Weather Channel). Finally, in the interest of equal time, 'sexy weather dude' has to be 7's Doug Hill.
